Job Summary
Under direct supervisor, performs the entry level work within the progression. for Social Workers with emphasis on providing practice in casework services under close supervisory guidance and control for training. Assignments involve analyzing individual; creating a case plan or treatment plan; and implementing or providing referrals, as appropriate.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
May investigate, assess and mediate situations, respond to allegations and complete reports.
Interviews client, family members, and collateral sources such as school, church, and community officials.
Prepares treatment plans for cases and makes appropriate recommendations or referrals.
Develops and implements case assessments and plans to address or remediate the presented problem.
Prepares reports, social summaries, and court documents. Maintains up-to-date electronic case management data entry.
May testifies in court on findings and recommendations.
Core Competencies
Basic and general knowledge of, and ability to apply, the principles and best practices relating to social work.
Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate information/data.
Written and oral communication skills.
Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the District of Columbia, as specified in the Health Occupations Revision Act of 1985, D.C. Law 6-99.
Basic Qualifications
Degree Required:
Master’s degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Work Experience:
Specialized work experience directly related to the position.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides direct professional social work services, applying professional knowledge and experience in handling of a variety of moderately complex cases. Performs analysis of individuals; creates a case or treatment plan; diagnostic and clinical assessments; and provides referral. May participate in the implementation of a system of social services including, but not limited to, case management and treatment, safety, program eligibility, custody, and rehabilitation.

Performs diagnostic and clinical assessment; and develops psychosocial assessments.
Investigates, assesses and mediates situations in response to allegations.
Conducts interviews and observations at home in the office or community.
Prepares treatment plans for cases; and makes appropriate recommendations or referrals.
Develops and implements case assessments, addressing and remediating the presented problem.
Contacts and maintains on-going communication with collateral contacts.
May serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team dealing with complex cases.

Job Summary
Under limited guidance, provides advanced professional social work services, applying advanced professional knowledge and ability to handle the most complex and sensitive cases. Responsible for the implementation of a system of social services including, but not limited to, case management and treatment, safety, program eligibility, custody, treatment and rehabilitation. Specifically, performs analysis of individuals; creates a case or treatment plan; diagnostic and clinical assessments; and implements and/or provides referrals.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as a member of and primary point of contact for an interdisciplinary team dealing with complex cases.
Performs diagnostic and clinical assessment; and develops psychosocial assessments.
Investigates, assesses and mediates situations, responding to allegations.
Conducts interviews and observations at home and in the office or community.
Develops and implements case assessments and remediates the presented problem.
Responds to crisis situations and intervenes to address immediate problems.
May attend court hearings to provide status information regarding the client’s psychosocial condition.
Reports out on situations as required by mandated disclosure guidelines.
