Job Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible for applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care. Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age, developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates healing and good health.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures basic nursing skills are deployed when addressing routine nursing problems and seeks direction when appropriate.
Performs a grasp of professional performance expectations in the domains of clinical practice, professional development, and evaluation.
Conducts various tests and administers medications within the scope of registered nursing practice.
Takes vital signs and evaluates care provided by technicians, nursing assistants or other designated personnel. Updates and maintains patient medical records, and meticulously adheres to policies governing the confidentiality of patient information.
Core Competencies
Professional knowledge of nursing theory, principles, practice, and technique’s required to plan and provide care to patients and families.
Knowledge of the proper use and application of medical apparatus and treatment equipment specific to area(s) of assignment.
A moderate level of analytical ability is required in order to assess patient conditions and needs, administer and monitor medications, and maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of drugs, their complications and side effects are required.

Degree Required:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the CS-5 grade level);
OR
Possession of a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing and two full years of professional nursing experience;
OR
Completion of at least one full year of graduate education in a professional nursing educational program.

Job Summary
Under direct supervision provides comprehensive nursing care to specific patient populations with general and complex problems through nursing interventions and/or case management by either direct care or delegation of responsibility in response to changing care needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Documents nursing services, medical care and treatment(s) in collaboration with various disciplines involved in the provision of care while maintaining confidentiality of client information in designated documentation systems.
Coordinates, plans, implements, evaluates and revises appropriate Plan of Care and/ or Treatment Plan in serious and /or emergency situations appropriate for the client's age, developmental level, and diagnosis.
Serves as an informational resource to patients/clients and other health care personnel for specialized information related to a particular patient population or protocol.
Responsible for the administration of medications and treatments authorized by medical staff.

Professional knowledge of and ability to apply a wide range of concepts, principles, and methods required to plan and provide care to patients, families for specific patient populations.

Job Summary

Advises, counsels, and instructs assigned employees.
