Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides a full range of diagnostic techniques and psychotherapy treatment, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to help individuals who are dealing with chronic mental illness, dually diagnosed, and substance abuse disorders.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Provides a full range of psychological and neuropsychological services and assessments for patients.
Provides a full range of therapeutic services including crisis intervention; individual, group, and conducts psychosocial assessments.
Assesses, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders to help individuals deal with problems ranging from short-term personal issues to severe, chronic conditions.
Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates a full range of psychological programs and services for an individual or groups of all diagnostic categories and degrees of psychological disorders.
Core Competencies
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, professional psychological and neuropsychological assessments and services to a full range of patient populations.
Knowledge in areas of specialty, e.g., schizophrenia, clinical psychological assessments, or treatment.
Ability to provide professional advice in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.
Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements
District of Columbia Psychology License.
Basic Qualifications
Degree Required: Degree Required: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
Work Experience: Specialized work experience directly related to the position.
