Training Manager - MS-1712-14

Job Summary 

Oversees and ensures program or courses in training, or courses in training and development that are aligned with the organization’s principles and goals. Oversees, plans, and administers the training programs. Plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of training staff.   Identifies future training needs and creates curriculum to facilitate that training.  Manages training schedules and budgets. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

Supervises, plans, directs, and evaluates the work of training staff.  Conducts or arranges for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for subordinate staff.

Oversees surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.

Develops and implements the annual strategic development plan.  Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.  

Prepares and monitors budget expenditures and annual training budget and justifies required resources.    

Develops and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.

Core Competencies  

Extensive knowledge of training theories, principles, and methods. Extensive knowledge training theory for creating effective creating instructional materials.

Expertise in training and instructional design, needs analysis, business process analysis, and training delivery.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Strong communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary 

Serves as authority and principal advisor on all aspects of employee training and development.  Manages, develops and implements strategies to promote cooperation with private providers. Plans, directs, supervises and evaluates the work of training staff.  Manages and prepares annual budget and justifies required resources.   

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

Manages administrative and technical supervision to the technical training staff.   

Manages and monitors the budget expenditures, recommending reallocation of funds to meet training needs.

Negotiates with consultants outside of the academic area for services involving training program requirements, costs and contract specifications.

Develops and implements the annual strategic employee’s development plan. Reviews and approves objectives, scope of training courses, and criteria for evaluation.

Oversees surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.

Core Competencies  

Mastery of advanced, and authoritative knowledge of training and development principles, concepts, techniques and guidelines.

Mastery knowledge of management principles, procedures and techniques in analysis and evaluation.

Strong managerial skills, and excellent team building, organization and leadership skills.
